Andrea M McDaniel

Andrea M. McDaniel is a disabled author, mother, and advocate in the United States.

At age seven, she survived a natural gas explosion that destroyed her home but spared her family. Themes in her work include the destruction of self, particularly due to societal influence, and finding hope in the midst of catastrophe.

After making a go of it as an actress in Chicago, she returned to Kansas City, eventually becoming a Software Engineer for a Texas company. In 2019, she had to cease working and make her health her primary focus. She continues to write as often as possible.

Her stories have been adapted into short film, her poetry has found its way into literary magazines, and she has several short stories currently available for Kindle.
